Colleen Culton, LCDC -Executive Director
Colleen Culton has worked in addictions counseling for almost 20 years and earned her credentials as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in 2000. She has extensive experience working with adults in both outpatient and residential treatment settings. Colleen’s approach to addictions counseling is founded on the belief that people can achieve long-term, positive change. Since 2009, she has worked in a supervisory capacity with both clinical and non-clinical staff.
Colleen recently completed studies for American Sign Language Interpreting at Austin Community College. One of her future goals is expanding service options for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing adults who struggle with the disease of addiction.
A lifetime bibliophile, Colleen can frequently be found immersed in the pages of a good book. Her other favorite activities include spending time with family and traveling.
Steve Boon – Director of Operations – Houston
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Steve moved to Houston in 1992 to start his recovery journey. He began working in the field of Chemical Dependency Treatment in 1994. Started his career on the clinical side of treatment and then when finished Chemical Dependency studies at The University of Houston and was placed in the position to provide Operational support through Billing, collections and contracting with The Right Step. In 1995 Steve took over as Director of Operations of Extended Aftercare Inc. where his primary focus was serving the Veteran population. In October of 2014 Steve joined Eudaimonia Recovery Homes as Director of Houston Operations. Steve has been married for 19 years to his beloved wife Julie.
Steven Long- Director of Operations – North Austin
Steven Long was born in Houston, Texas and moved to Austin when he was just a few weeks old. Growing up in the heart of South Austin, Steven found himself struggling with a drug addiction from a young age. In a constant and relentless search for internal peace, Steven continued to find himself in precarious situations. Through his journey he found a woman that he loved, and has two beautiful kids today. Having found a deep personal connection with a Power far greater than himself through the 12 step process, Stevens passion is helping addicts and alcoholics find a place of gratitude, love, and hope for their lives. With over 4 years of experience in the addiction field, Steven is extremely grateful for the opportunity to be apart of the Eudaimonia family. Steven Long attributes the beautiful life that he has today to the family that stuck by him and sacrificed constantly so that he could live free, and ultimately the Power of God that he has received through the 12 steps
Frederic J. Wilson, MD-Medical Director
Dr. Frederic J. Wilson is a licensed MD specializing in psychiatry. He is board certified in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and his specializations include Dual Diagnosis with co-occuring substance abuse and mental disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and Behavioral Problems. He received his undergraduate degree at California Lutheran University and attended medical school at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine. His General Psychiatry Residency was completed with the UT Southwestern Program in Austin. He has experience at a number of facilities including Seton Shoal Creek, University of Texas Mental Health Center, Austin State Hospital, Dell Children’s Medical Center, and more. Dr. Wilson utilizes a multidimensional approach to the mental health needs of Nova clients, incorporating biological, psychological, and social aspects into addiction treatment.
